Lee Ann Higginbotham PT, MHS, CHT Developed this module in conjunction with hand therapists of the Milliken Hand Center and formerly the Orthopedic Center for Upper Extremity Rehabilitation at Barnes-Jewish Hospital as well as faculty members at the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University.
She graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis, MO, USA, in 1989 with her bachelor's degree in physical therapy. She obtained her certification in hand therapy in 1995 and her master's degree of health science in physical therapy in 1996. Lee Ann is employed as a clinical specialist by Barnes-Jewish Hospital, BJC HealthCare, in Saint Louis, MO. Additionally, she is a part-time lecturer in the Program in Physical Therapy at Washington University and teaches in courses regarding upper extremity diagnosis and treatment. She trains occupational and physical therapists in evaluation and treatment techniques, including splinting, for patients with hand and upper extremity injuries.
