Product details
The aquarobic system encompasses a wide range of activities so that it can be used by professionals, physiotherapists and hydrotherapists as a technique for the rehabilitation of injured or disabled patients. Because of the simple nature of the movements, it can also be used by fitness coaches in a swimming pool to get and keep their clients fit, whatever their age or physical endowments. It includes exercises that are as functional as possible and are planned to involve the whole body, although in a therapeutic context there is more emphasis on any injured part. The majority of the exercises are carried out in the vertical position, in chest-high water. There are warm-up and cool down exercises.
Based on Glenda Baum's book 'Aquarobics the Training Manual,' published by Elsevier.
